Step by Step Guide to a Successful and Profitable Launch
In today’s post, I’ll be talking about the strategies you can use in your next launch to stand out amongst the competition.
Many people expect that a solid launch is as simple as putting in a couple of weeks of warm-up and suddenly the leads will be flowing in. While it’s possible to have a five-figure launch if you’ve spent time building your credibility as an expert in your industry, it’s much harder to achieve if you don’t have your previous work to lean on.
For a majority of people, a proper warm-up plan is necessary for a successful launch. Set your expectations according to how long you’ve been in business, the demographics of your following, and the product you’re offering.
Most importantly, there is never any guarantee that your launch will work out the way you expect it to, so it’s important to execute a plan that brings you joy while you work. Feeling present in your business is as integral to your success as the four focuses we’ll go over in today’s post.
Create a Free Resource
The first thing that you should focus on when planning your launch is some type of free material for your audience to engage with. Ideally, this resource engages your email list or option page. Examples of free resources include downloadables, trainings, a master class, a challenge, or a virtual event.
When brainstorming, think from your audience’s perspective. Ask yourself: What is something that will really help them and therefore enhance their experience with your brand? Why should your audience care?
Creating this resource for your profitable launch should be related to something that relates to what you love and will help your audience connect with you. If it resonates with you and you have fun making it, it will resonate with your audience.
Don’t forget to engage your marketing skills. Give your free resource a stand-out name and focus on a compelling topic. You want your current followers and new followers to understand what your offer is. Make the title of your free resource clear and concise. Your free resource is the catalyst for your audience to engage with the rest of your launch.
Generate a Nurture Sequence
Once you’ve got them hooked with your free resource, your next step in creating a successful launch is to nurture your audience. Nurturing content should come in both email and social media form. Essentially, your audience has used that free quiz, downloadable or masterclass, and now they’re primed to learn more about you.
Nurturing sequences are a great way to show off your personality. Create a couple of week’s worth of content surrounding your free resource and give insights into why it’s relevant to your audience. Keep your material specific to your launch, and cultivate a following around it.
Offer a Second Free Resource
The third step is to rinse and repeat step one. However, with this free resource, the goal is to engage your audience on a more specific level. Think of a workshop or series that will help lead your followers to your offer. Give them a small win to draw them into your next product.
Plan an Event That Relates to Your Launch
After your second free resource launches, your next goal is to create a big event that directly leads to your launch. Remember, the goal is to engage the audience so that by the time you make the offer, your audience jumps on the opportunity. Examples of events can be challenges, masterclasses, or training series.
With all of the free material you’re offering for your launch, be sure to not overwhelm them. Remember that you don’t want them to feel like you’re assigning homework. It’s more important that they’re understanding the value of this content so that they feel primed to invest in your launch.

How to Engage your Audience During your Launch
1. Be specific about your expertise
Competition on social media can be daunting, but one way to really stand out is to get super clear on your expertise and nice. This will help narrow your content and keep you focused on what makes your business unique.
2. Write it out
If you’re struggling to showcase your personality, don’t overthink it. Write it out. Take time to list out your values, what matters to you, what makes you curious. Chances are if it clicks for you, it’ll click with your followers.
3. Create a game
Entice your audience with challenges, games, and little hints at what is to come with your launch. This will keep people on their toes for new content.
4. Use metaphors
Using metaphors is a great teaching tool to help your audience understand concepts that may be unfamiliar to them. If you just got a new puppy, write a metaphor about a new puppy. Maybe you’re married or have children, this is also a relatable way to understand new concepts that will keep followers engaged.
Step by Step Guide to a Successful and Profitable Launch: The Bottomline
While there are no guarantees for the type of launch you might have, following this structure is all about warming up your audience and helping them engage with your program before they have access to it. That way, when you do launch, you’ve created a nest of focused content that will encourage them to invest in you. You’re working on building credibility and trust with your audience. Don’t be afraid to show your personality off.
Remember that all businesses take time to grow and learn. The longer you work, the more opportunities you will have to grow your following and launches will be more profitable. If you’re just starting out, focus on getting yourself on the map and inviting your audience in. Get clear on your expertise and bring joy to what you do and the rest will follow.
And finally, as always, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay #PrettyAwkward!
