It all started back in 2016 in Mexico City where Isabella started a Youtube channel about personal development, self-esteem, and self-empowerment for young women. Isabella was so passionate about it and began sharing a lot of her story with other young women. Eventually, her Youtube channel started growing and doing very well. She started getting so many messages on Instagram from young women wanting help from her. When this happened, Isabella didn’t feel qualified to be answering their questions and giving advice, so she decided to get certified as a life coach.
When she got certified, she discovered she could create a business from her passion to help others – Isabella went onto Youtube and told everyone she had a business and people could start applying to be coached by her. Surprisingly, Isabella received zero applications. Out of her 32,000 subscribers, not one applied. However, she was still getting all these direct messages, she realized people didn’t want to pay for the help. Something was missing. She had built a trusting community but she couldn’t monetize it. Isabella felt that her niche wasn’t tangible, so she invested in a group program and learned how to monetize her business as a life coach. Eventually, she moved to the US with her husband and figured this would be a great opportunity to go international and dive into her business full time. Later in April 2019, Isabella found me online, and not long after we started working together. Since then she has been able to grow her business exponentially.
This podcast was created with YOU in mind. The female entrepreneur looking to learn, and grow your business strategies and mindset, to get your business off the ground and scale to multiple six figures and have fun doing it. To inspire and empower you to take the required action you’ve been putting off to create products and make sales.

I can’t wait to hear about what you learn, what makes you laugh, and what tips allow you to grow your business and brand as your authentic self.

One of Isabella’s first mistakes she made on her journey to becoming a coach, was going to college to study acting. She got into the most prestigious school in Mexico for the theatre. As time went by, Isabella found this wasn’t in her heart, there was something else she wanted to do. She began discovering entrepreneurship and coaching and decided to leave. Initially, she thought she’d leave and start auditioning and still be able to do well with acting. So Isabella went to auditions every day, she did 112 auditions without booking anything. She spent a year and a half of just doing auditions and got no jobs out of it.
Everybody thinks you are crazy until you make money, so this conversation kept coming up where people were asking Isabella what she was doing with her life, and she had no clue. A few other false starts that Isabella can remember include a fitness Youtube channel that she deleted and a wellness blog that was deleted. Then, she started learning more about entrepreneurship and decided to open a vegan bakery. She took a loan and ended up $20,000 in debt from this. Isabella can recall a decent amount of failed attempts throughout her journey, but she shares that she wouldn’t have it any other way. If it wasn’t for these mistakes, especially the debt that she got herself in, she wouldn’t be where she is today.
For Isabella, it took eight years of not doing anything else but trying to be successful at business and doing what she loved. Fortunately, she always had support. Isabella was never alone but she has been without money and has been in a position where she had to ask everyone for money. It was eight years of this before she even started monetizing her passion. What got her through the challenges was knowing she needed to help women not feel the way she was feeling. Also, knowing if there are people out there monetizing their passion for weird businesses that fit their lives, then she should be able to do the same.
There was no other way of living for her, it was either she gets what she wants or she just keeps trying. She found a huge joy in trying, it’s never about the destination. Isabella got used to this trial and error in business and knows she still has ideas that fail all the time. There are a lot more wins now, but you will always encounter challenges and occasionally fail at something, it’s a part of the process. This is a beautiful example to everyone that success takes time, and to enjoy the process. You’re never really at your destination, enjoy each day and learn to find light in the challenging times. Look beyond that and understand there’s a purpose.
Isabella shares a few quick tips for coaches when it comes to marketing tangible services. The first tip is to trust the process and niche down. When you’re a life coach, you are taught that you have skills to help anyone. It’s hard to market as a generalist, your message becomes watered down and it won’t land the same way. A lot of coaches need to niche down first and define the problem they want to solve. Isabella recommends that instead, you focus on the type of person you help first. For example as a life coach, let’s say you want to help six-figure entrepreneurs. When you become a life coach for six-figure entrepreneurs, that is a more focused niche. Then you can get specific on the problem.
After you niche down, get clear on how your client’s internal problems are manifesting in real life. If you struggle with self-esteem, instead of just saying that you help them fix self-esteem, get clear on the situation. What is the lack of self-esteem doing in their daily life? Maybe they aren’t speaking up at work or they have unhealthy relationships with their partner. Instead of the generalized statement that you will help increase self-esteem, explain the benefit they will see in their lives that will come working through this block. List out the external things being affected by the problem. Get clear on tangible ways the intangible problem manifests in your ideal client’s external daily life. This will change the way you market as a life coach and will help you land new clients needing your services.
