When you permit yourself to step into your true authentic self, that’s when the real magic happens. If you’re coming from a place of authenticity, you’re letting off the external forces and pressures in the business. Do you know what happens next? You detach yourself from the monetary goals and you get to enjoy your journey of self-fulfillment and happiness.
So ask yourself: Do I associate my worth as a human being in my goals? Does my business failure affect my self-perception as a business owner and coach? If the answer is yes, then you aren’t giving yourself permission to show up as your true authentic self. And I’m asking you to do so, right now at this very moment, because it’s going to make all the difference in your business.
When you start stepping into the authentic version of yourself, you will realize that these failures are not failures but just lessons that are necessary for your growth. When you become the truest version of yourself, you accept that you will never stop growing and embrace every part of the journey wholeheartedly.
This podcast was created with YOU in mind. The female entrepreneur looking to learn, and grow your business strategies and mindset, to get your business off the ground and scale to multiple six figures and have fun doing it. Many entrepreneurs, specifically online coaches, struggle to find their way within personal branding. And I completely feel for you entrepreneur babes out there! It’s so easy to get lost at the limiting beliefs of I’m not good enough! I’m not as good as this other coach. Trust me, I’ve been there myself! Being an actress myself, I’ve faced hundreds of rejections from gigs and auditions. And you know what? That’s 100% okay!
Remember that no one makes it without facing multiple rejections. All you have to remember is that being rejected doesn’t mean you’re not good enough or you’re not worthy of being a coach. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of alignment from our skill sets to our client’s needs.
And usually, the tendency for entrepreneurs when having these limiting beliefs is to push themselves into something they’re not. As a coach, we have to be honest all the freaking time. If you promise a service, you have to be good and confident at it, or else, don’t even try to offer it at all. Otherwise, it’s going to be a struggle for you and your client. And the worst part of it all, you’re going to do them a huge disservice that will perpetually tarnish your personal brand.
So the only way to go is to get clear and direct with your skillset. If you already established what you want to do and what you want to offer, which is going to be part of your brand, start honing in on that. Remember, you can never be done in terms of entrepreneurship. The more skilled you get, the better result you get for your client. That reputation alone is more than effective to build your brand.
When it comes to branding, don’t underestimate the basics. Your brand’s colors, images, and content go a long way in terms of brand recognition. Plus, it helps avoid decision fatigue because it limits the choices that you can use in terms of graphics and designs. However, you don’t stop at that! Don’t make the same mistake that I did. You have to effectively convey what your true authentic self and project that in your branding. From your colors, fonts, down to your overall vibes, they all have to match your inner, truest self.
The end goal of your branding is to have your clients say: “you’re exactly what I thought you would be!”. That’s the biggest compliment you can get from your branding because you effectively conveyed who you are and you will have that genuine connection with your client. That starts by sharing even the most trivial thing, as long as it resonates with you.
Here are some of the questions you can ask yourself to establish your branding:
As irrelevant as these questions seem to you, they are vital for you to tell your very own story that embodies your hobbies, values, likes, and dislikes. This is going to build that gap from strangers to onboarding clients. When you share a story, you relate to them, and most importantly, you engage with them through this personal connection you build from your branding.
And remember, there is no right or wrong in terms of personal branding. As we change within ourselves, our personal branding changes with us. It’s a matter of trial and error that may take some iterations along the way. You may be constantly rebranding and that’s okay because it just means you’re growing as a brand and as a person.

Connect, grow, and scale your business to 6-Figures. Awkwardly.
Coaching is an intimate experience. Both the coach and the client have to be vulnerable to have true transformation. That’s why branding through your authentic self is so important. It provides a platform for coaches and clients to be vulnerable, it’s a connection point of authenticity and honesty. People who come into your brand are going to love you and people who don’t aren’t going to stick around. That’s the most freeing feeling ever. You never have to put a face on, you never have to fake it, you just have to show up in your true, unapologetic self and focus on the journey of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Another amazing thing about building a brand through your authentic self is that it translates no matter what kind of industry you’re in. Your brand is going to be a reflection of what you are as a person. If you were to ever switch from business to business, it would be a seamless transition.
Give yourself permission to let out your true, authentic self. Your branding should represent your personal truth, it should show what values you stand for. Remember that branding is just like a connection point. Find a way to connect those brand elements towards the value and results that you can provide to your clients.
And as always, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay #PrettyAwkward!
