Building Your Business Impact and Launching a Group Coaching Program by Q3: It’s Possible!
Wow, am I excited about this post! Today, I’m recapping my conversation with my BFF Eve Guzman. She joined me on episode 158 of the #PrettyAwkward podcast to discuss something amazing: our upcoming program that we’re running TOGETHER!
But before we get into that, she shares her own amazing business journey and how she structures her group coaching program. She’s had so much success on every level, and I can’t wait for you to hear her input and learn about how she’s built her incredible business and delivered an incredible impact.
Eve’s Business Journey
Eve is known as the mad macro scientist or the queen of macros, and for good reason! She’s a nutrition education coach who runs the Transformation Academy Program. She focuses on fitness and weight loss there.
She also runs a Macro Mentorship Program. She started out by losing 150 pounds naturally. From there, she took the methodology she used to do that and transferred it into a framework for everyday people. This acted as a blueprint for coaches.
Notably, she runs a nationally certified program through the National Academy of Sports Education and has a certificate for macro coaches.
Wow! She’s really done a lot, and she shared with me how she took her business from a one-on-one coaching model to a group coaching sensation.
Moving from One-On-One to Group Coaching
In our conversation, I asked Eve when she realized she needed to build out the program and open it up to groups. She explained that she found herself at a crossroads. Coaches were trying to buy her program to use with their own clients. In fact, many coaches were DM’ing her for private sessions, looking to learn about macros so they could teach it to their clients.
She started doing this and was making decent money. But, she was slammed with weekly Zoom calls and wanted to serve more people. The question was upon her: should she share her secret sauce with other coaches?
She decided it was worth the plunge and went for it. She created her own group coaching program and it, in turn, has impacted SO many people. She calculated it out, and she’s reached a MINIMUM of 72k people through her group coaching program. Amazing!
She herself has coached 2k people, so that means that her coach program has helped her reach 70k people (at least) that she wouldn’t have without that medium. Eve is super impact-driven, so this is huge for her.
Doing things this way has not only expanded her reach but it’s also allowed her to spend half the time servicing coaches and she now works with more people that way, which is amazing.
Eve’s Tips for Someone Creating a Group Program
Even had several tips for anyone looking to build their own group program. She broke it down into three steps.
The first is to figure out what the “need to know” items are within your framework. Next, examine what people are constantly asking that’s NOT in the framework. Finally, figure out a way to make your course engaging, fun, and understandable all at once.
Most importantly, it’s important to ensure that you’re facilitating a program that drives results for every client. That’s something that both of us are super passionate about.
How her Group Course Has Evolved
Over time, Eve has made changes to her group program. First, it used to be longer. She said it took her about three rounds to feel like she really nailed the content – and that’s totally normal as you’re building and evolving a new program!
She just kept critiquing it and evolving it forward. In the process, she has ensured that she’s not trying to give her clients “everything under the sun.” She recognizes that she can’t help with every transformation – no one can do it all!
For that reason, she’s really specific about her offer. When she got carried away, she would remind herself that whatever she was looking to add wasn’t what the program is for. It’s so important to keep in mind that creating everything in one program will overwhelm clients.
Plus, you want to give people a chance to graduate to something else. If you give them everything at once, that might not be possible. Mini transformations before huge ones are vital. As humans, we’re all growing and evolving, and over-delivering does NOT equate to giving more “stuff.” Instead, it means providing a course that’s created and delivered with quality and care.
