How to Sell Your Services by Creating a Standout Offer That Converts with Kristina Hall
In this post, I’m sharing the conversation I had with special guest Kristina Hall. We discussed how to ensure your offers align with not just your clients, but with yourself as well. This is an important part of attracting the right clients so you can find people who you’ll work best with, which is important to the success of your business.
Kristina’s Story
Kristina is a business strategist and consultant who specializes in social media and offer creation. She owns a social media agency and I have the pleasure of co-coaching with her in my year-long group program.
With an impressive 11 years of social media experience under her belt, Kristina has worked with hundreds of brands, ranging in industries. She strives to bring brands to life on social media.
She got into the business after pursuing a Craigslist ad she saw where there was a listing to hire a social media manager. Although she remembers this as one of the worst jobs she ever had, it’s what got her foot in the door with social media and is what led her here today.
Two years ago, Kristina decided to try her hand at coaching. After taking about a year to dive into this venture, she’s realized it’s super different from working in social media. However, she has a deep-rooted passion for helping entrepreneurs build their businesses.
The Fundamentals of Building an Aligned Offer
Many business owners think that building an aligned offer means aligning it solely to the needs and wants of their client. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Instead, the offer should be aligned both with the needs of the client and with yourself.
It’s so important to put together offers that make you want to jump out of the bed in the morning, something that makes you genuinely excited! Make the offer something you absolutely can’t wait to put on the table for your clients. An offer that you’ll feel great to put out in the world.
If you don’t have these feelings about what you’re creating, the lack of passion will translate into the offer. Having that drive behind the work that you do will make all the difference, and it will help to attract the clients you’re meant to work with.
With all of that being said, your offers do still need to be aligned with the client’s needs too. Think about what the client actually needs. If you’re not sure, start by looking at past feedback received and do some market research.
Once you set your offer and begin working with a client, you need to continuously realize that offers and the way you work with clients can change along the way. What works with one client may not work the exact same way with another. You may need to modify a client’s contract so the offer elements fit the client’s needs. Make it work for them and you!
Common Mistakes in Creating an Aligned Offer
There are several common mistakes Kristina has seen entrepreneurs make when building aligned offers. The first mistake is something we already covered – the idea of creating offers that align only with the needs of your client and not with yourself.
Another mistake is creating an offer that you think your client needs, but in reality they don’t. You may be thinking- How do I find out what they actually need? How do I begin to understand my audience?
First, know that everything takes some trial and error. Experimentation will need to be done to figure out what your audience needs. You’ll learn more about your client needs as you go, and that will empower you to know and do better the next time.
Another way to understand the needs of your client is to check out what the market research says – that’s a great starting point. Another method to gain insight, is to ask previous clients any questions you’re trying to find answers to.
Finally, reach out to some within your network, this could be a friend or an acquaintance. The people you ask don’t need to be clients or potential clients. Just keep in mind it’s important to ask people who are in your target demographic so you get more accurate feedback.

Aligned Offer Best Practices
Now that you understand what not to do in creating your aligned offer, you’ll want to also understand what you should do.
Some best practices for you to create your best aligned offer are:
- Be open to change – know that your offers will evolve and fluctuate over time
- Take the time to evaluate how things are going and make adjustments accordingly
- Don’t try to cover everything in an offer – it’s good to zero in on what you can do best
- Be careful of feedback you receive – if only one person is giving you a piece of feedback, consider whether it’s believable or not
- Don’t change your program in a way that doesn’t align with you, even if it is dictated by the feedback you receive
- Always trust your gut and your intuition – you know what’s best for you and your business!
How to Sell Your Services by Creating a Standout Offer That Converts with Kristina Hall: The Bottomline
This chat with Kristina really demonstrates how important it is to stay true to yourself in the offers you’re creating. It’s easy to see what others are doing and want to do the same thing. But, it’s vital to think through whether it’s aligned with your life, priorities, and goals before jumping on the bandwagon.
I hope from this post you’ve learned that your offers should exemplify what you stand for and what you stand against. Use this as the guiding light in crafting your offer and it’ll be bound to stand out to the clients that are meant for you and your business.
