How to Use Quizzes to Get More Leads for Your Business with Linda Sidhu
There’s a secret to lead generation you’re probably not utilizing…
QUIZZES!
The average quiz is shared 1,900 times! People love to share their quiz results, so that’s easy buzz for your business. Plus, it’s a great way to track data about your audience.
In this post, I’ll be talking about how to use quizzes for lead generation with special guest, Linda Sidhu! She is a quiz expert, and I’m excited to have her join me to share her perspective.

Linda shares her background and how she got into developing quizzes.
Linda has always been obsessed with everything personality. Since she was young, she loved taking quizzes and learning about the psychology of personality.
Linda got to apply her knowledge of personality to her business when she went into pharmaceutical sales. Her company encouraged their representatives to understand the personality of the physicians they sold to. Knowing the physicians’ personalities affected the way Megan would pitch to them, and she got better sales because of that.
When she launched a business of her own, Linda developed a quiz. Later, it became a huge lead magnet for her. She actually grew her list by 75% in one week! Eventually, Interact, the quiz platform, invited her to become a strategic partner with them. After that, she knew that helping people create quizzes was what she wanted to focus on in the business.

Why quizzes are so powerful for lead generation.
Linda shared a few reasons why quizzes are so effective for business:
- When you attach quiz results to an email, you can easily add someone into your funnel.
- People are much more likely to utilize an interactive quiz than a passive freebie.
- Your audience is likely to share their quiz results with others.
- As a business owner, you can segment your audience based on their results and speak to them in a more personal way.
Linda helped me develop my own quiz for my business. It’s designed to help you find your unique coach approach.
There are four results you can get: strategic, mindset, aspirational, and spiritual. I’m so excited that I’ll eventually be able to segment my audience based on what type of coach they are! And I can’t wait to see the results for my business as people take the quiz and share it with others.

How to start developing your own quiz.
First, Linda says the biggest question people have around using quizzes for lead generation is what to do the quiz on. She says it starts with your life experiences. These are the questions she asks with clients:
What is unique about you?
What are you known for?
What are your clients most interested in?
What are you so passionate about that you could give a TED talk on it?
From there, you can begin to brainstorm your topic and title. In addition, Linda has an awesome free resource, the Nail Your Quiz Idea Freebie, to help you get started!
Another tip Linda has for developing your quiz is to write the results first. Don’t start with the questions. You want to write the results first so you can ask them the right questions that lead to the right results.

Using your quiz to better understand your leads.
While some people in your audience will buy quickly, others won’t. The reason some people don’t buy as quickly as others doesn’t have anything to do with you.
It has to do with their personality.
When you’re trying to help your audience, understand that some people may need more time. Don’t give up on them! Instead, keep showing up for them. See what you can learn about their buying behavior from your quiz results.
How to Use Quizzes to Get More Leads for Your Business with Linda Sidhu: The Bottomline
Quizzes are an insanely powerful tool that most businesses aren’t taking advantage of! They are amazing for generating leads, but you do have to go about building them in the right way.
No one is going to want to pursue your business if they took a poorly designed quiz that didn’t tell them anything new or interesting about themselves. The heart of your quiz needs to be about providing value to your clients. So don’t just make one just to make one. Be intentional!
