In this week’s blog, I’m going to share a little bit about the mission and vision that I have for my company for the years to come as well as my unique coaching method and the narrative behind it. We are diving into the process of developing your very own unique coaching method which I have been doing for a really long time.
But before we dive in, let me introduce myself. My name is Megan Yelaney, and I have built two six-figure businesses and one multi-six-figure business by fully embracing my authentic self and not trying to hide the quirks that make me, ME.
So if you’re a female entrepreneur looking to learn, grow your business strategies and mindset, and scale your biz to multiple six figures while having fun doing it…you’re in the right place, girl! Because I made this blog exactly for YOU!
Let’s dive into my unique coaching method and its development. Keep reading to learn more!
“Take note to always be true to yourself, so it will not be difficult for you to be true to the people you will deal business with.”
A little backstory to one of my biggest breakthroughs this year.
This blog post is a unique one because you get a little sneak peek into my diary! I journaled a lot of stuff during the launch of my free challenge where I had the best breakthrough in my life. So, let’s start with a story!
I was in Las Vegas about seven weeks ago to visit my dad and to look for a house.
Whenever I’m in Vegas, I always meet with Brooke Welch, an amazing mindset coach and energy healer, because she’s just so incredible.
During our reading session, she put her hand over my stomach and she immediately started to tear up and said, “You have a five million dollar idea here”. She looked at me with literal tears in her eyes and I felt it. It was one of the most surreal feelings I felt in the world.
She asked me, “Do you know what it is?” And I knew. Deep inside me, I knew what she’s talking about but I hadn’t really put it into the world during that time.
Months before our breakthrough reading session, I had identified my coaching method with the help of my coach. I know that it is going to be huge because of it’s amazing potential in transformative work.
Unfortunately, I hit a snag and was just stuck and mentally blocked. I remember asking myself, “How can I be so clear about something and have it all up in my head but not be able to communicate it effectively yet?”
And you know why? It’s because when you have something that big, you know that it’s going to be a game-changer not only for your own business, but also for your clients and a whole bunch of people who will stumble upon it. And that brings a whole new level of responsibility and pressure.
At some point in our business, we will all experience pressure. We don’t have to be afraid of that pressure as long as products and services resonate with our clients.
The first thing I did to overcome the overwhelming pressure was to just let go.
I gave myself space, grace, and just let everything fall into place.
I took things slowly but surely. It’s cliché, but hear me out! Taking things slow will give you more time to critically think about every step of the process. Clearing your thoughts will help you focus more on things that truly matter.
And the response was incredible!
Why?
It’s because when I developed this coaching method, I was sure that this is something that my clients can resonate and vibe with. It’s something that they need because it will address one of the biggest roadblocks we usually face in our business.
Another thing that helped me with facing pressure is realigning my plans and actions with my mission and vision.
Sometimes we get really excited about our future plans that we tend to mix things up. We would imagine a lot of things that could happen in the near future, what we want to do to achieve our short- and long-term goals, and what others will think about our plans.
It gets all fun and exciting until we lose sight of our mission, and worse, our bigger vision.
And babe, you cannot stick to your own mission and vision by always side-eyeing successful and powerful figures in the field and always comparing yourself to them.
My advice?
Focus! Focus on yourself, focus on your steps, focus on your plans. I guarantee you, you will get exactly where you want to be.
My values are the backbone of my unique coaching method.
I know for a fact that people have unique characteristics and values which makes us remarkable in whatever field we choose to go. So when looking for a unique coaching method, try to search within your unique characteristics and get clear on your values. This is what I did when I was developing my own unique coaching method. Our values are what’s going to bring us the most exciting breakthroughs and transformations. Our values are going to be the framework of our plans and it will guide us up every step of the way up until we reach our end goal.
Sometimes, we get lost or off track because we have been projecting or are trying to project a characteristic that we think is acceptable to the public. And sometimes, these projections are not aligned with our true self. Take note to always be true to yourself, so it will not be difficult for you to be true to the people you will deal business with.
Another tip for you guys, always know when to push for a decision and when to refrain from continuing. Sometimes, there will come a time when conflicts will arise and you will be put in a difficult spotlight. Always remember that having the courage to make a decision and having the integrity to speak up is a great key in moving forward to greater things.
So, be clear with who you are and your values.
Three Stars to the Unique Method.
Branding, skill set/passion, and personality. These are the three stars that would make up our constellation of success.
Being able to combine all these three is your VIP ticket to having your very own unique method and the reason that I found success when developing my own unique coaching method. It takes hard work because everyone has their own personality, but not everyone projects it profitably.
If you still don’t have an idea how to complete your three stars, don’t be afraid to ask your clients! They have first-hand experience with you, ask them what specific thing you did that helped them go to the next level.
How I Developed My Unique Coaching Method: Main Takeaways
It’s not rocket science! The road to a unique coaching method is pretty simple: embrace who you are, and make it profitable.
This is what I did when developing my own unique coaching method and I think it’s about damn time we start owning our methods and stop trying to be a copycat of another successful figure in the industry.
We did not get into the coaching world just to be a carbon copy, there is no genuine transformation that will happen in that. It’s just going to make you feel shitty and inadequate because it’s not a reflection of who you are.
