As entrepreneurs and business owners, the main mission for most of us is to target and be able to work with our soul mate clients. In this week’s blog, I’m diving into client attraction marketing tools that can help YOU bring in your soul mate clients.
I’m also talking about how to effectively communicate how people will be better off after working with you and the power of metaphor.
But before we dive on in, let me introduce myself. My name is Megan Yelaney, and I have built two six-figure businesses and one multi-six-figure business by fully embracing my authentic self and not trying to hide the quirks that make me, ME.
So if you’re a female entrepreneur looking to learn, grow your business strategies and mindset, and scale your biz to multiple six figures while having fun doing it…you’re in the right place, girl! Because I made this blog exactly for YOU!
And today, we will be talking all about attraction marketing tools to call in your soul mate clients.
“Humans buy emotionally and justify it logically, these tools will help your audience connect with you on an emotional level.”
If you’re unsure what I mean by metaphor, it’s something you can compare your experience to and hold onto. An example would be when I was doing process coaching and helping people sit with their emotions.
A lot of times when they sit with their emotions, they can move through it and have a release going from hysterically crying to laughing. A metaphor we used for this was Harry Potter.
If you’re a Harry Potter fan you will understand this, but I think in the third book, when the boggarts came out of the closet, Lupin holds his wand and shouts “Ridiculous!” Then, the boggarts change into something funny and the fear would go away.
So this is essentially the act of taking something that scares you, something that you want to avoid, but when you actually let yourself feel it, you will find that you’re able to move through it.
This won’t happen every time, it depends on the topic but if it’s something that has been a life-long battle, it will take more time.
The whole point is to sit with it, the metaphor is that when you sit with it, you can release and laugh at it. The power of metaphor in your copy and the significance of awareness on your programs is so important.
Think of copy you’ve seen or sales posts, whenever they compare it to something that you relate to, the client can grab onto it and understand the value of the program better.
Using metaphors helps your audience comprehend and relate on a deeper level.
Start to think along the lines of what your clients could be struggling with, what do they want to accomplish and how can you relate that to a metaphor?
I also recommend you do this when you coach. For me, I know a lot of my audience loves Harry Potter, so I get to use a lot of Harry Potter metaphors. The example I said before with Lupin and the boggarts, the second you see the fear in your business popping up, treating it like a boggart, point your wand at it, and shout RIDICULOUS. Soon, you’ll realize your fears were made up and it was all in your head.
I want to stress metaphor because the other tools I will share are around this concept.
Humans buy emotionally and justify it logically, these tools will help your audience connect with you on an emotional level.
Think about the last thing you bought, what was the first reason you initially wanted to purchase the item? Whatever it was probably got you on an emotional level.
Whether it was $5 or $100, it was something that most likely made your life easier. Humans buy emotionally, when you remember this, you will keep going deeper in your copy and content.
You have to effectively communicate why and how someone will benefit from working with you.
How will their life be different?
If you’re unsure how to answer this, that’s okay.
It’s something a lot of people don’t ask themselves. Sometimes you have to sit with this question a bit, it’s powerful but simple. When we get down to it, the answer to this question is the key to signing up the ideal clients you love working with. I
want you to sit down and brain dump on this question, don’t think too hard just think from the heart. Think about the clients you’ve worked with, transformations you’ve had. This will dictate your copy and messaging in your marketing.
All these sales hacks and techniques won’t work if you don’t have an answer to this question and a way to convey how people will benefit from working with you.
You have the power behind what you offer, clearly communicate that.
It’s normal to be unsure and nervous at first but sit and journal about this for a while. This is my answer and I haven’t thought about it too much – people are better off after working with me because they stand strong and sure in the purpose of themselves.
They know without a doubt the kind of coach they want to be, the kind of client they want to serve. Because they identify this uniqueness, they don’t waiver or compare themselves. They allow this to dictate everything in their business from copy to messaging to hiring a team and developing offers.
They learn to have a shit ton of fun doing it.
When you ask your clients what made them sign up for your offer, focus on two parts.
Firstly, what did you specifically say that made them need your offer now?
What point hit home for them?
This will be gold information for you to use with your future marketing messaging content.
In the next part, what kind of content was it?
Was it an Instagram post, a story, an email, a blog?
You want to know what was said and what kind of content was it. This way, you can understand the type of messaging and the platform. Knowing these two things will help you get closer to developing your unique coaching method. If every single client tells you it was from a story, that helps you determine where people are finding you and resonating with you.
Then, you can double down your efforts on that. This also helps you know what hooked them in with your words.
So many times we try to go above and beyond for new clients but ask your current client who loves you, tap into your current clients to gain understanding.
Once you know this you can continue the pattern of the same messaging and content. Be honest, tell your client you’re researching to ensure the content you put out is speaking to your soul mate client, and that they are your soulmate client.
This is complimenting them but also benefiting you to develop your unique coaching method.
By using these attraction marketing tools, you will notice an increase in ideal clients and most importantly, your soulmate clients. I hope these tips help you along your business journey and I’d love to know how everything goes for you once you implement these tools!
Don’t underestimate the power of metaphor, effectively communicating why people are going to be better off after working with you, and asking your current clients what attracted them to you in the first place.
And as always, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay #PrettyAwkward!
