I’ve built three successful businesses in the last ten years, the latest to over $3Million in revenue in the last five. And the thing I’m about to say might shock you…
It could have been a lot more.
But something big happened in my life in 2020 (yes, besides the pandemic)
My husband and I separated for six months.
When we got back together I KNEW something had to change; and quickly.
So by the end of 2020 I decided to cut a few key programs that were taking up A LOT of my time and went into 2021 bringing in $30,000 less a month than planned. Talk about a hit to my ego. But I got to a point where I didn’t care if I had to sacrifice income to make my marriage first while slowly rebuilding.
2021 was the learning year, and the year that I experimented in some big ways, some things working out great and some failing miserably.
By 2022 I found more of a groove, re-built my confidence back up & realized how I wanted to operate as both a business owner and wife to get back to the income that we used to bring in.
It all came down to a strategic biz remodel; really focusing in on what brought me joy, money & impacted my audience without burning me out, taking up a ton of time or bleeding into my personal life.
Because of this remodel we ended 2022 increasing profits from 2021 by almost $100,000, and are projected to double that in 2023.
