Before you go throwing money at ads, you must know your earnings per lead and make sure your funnel is already converting. Ads amplify what’s working—they don’t fix what’s broken.
In this conversation with one of my favorite guests, Kwadwo, we’re getting into the one metric that matters most when running ads, the biggest webinar mistake that’s costing you sales, and where to get ads support so you can finally stop guessing.
If you’ve ever spent money on ads and wondered why nothing’s converting → this episode is for you!
Your offer deserves to reach the people it was built for and that’s exactly what learning ads the right way makes possible!

Meg:
Welcome back to business. Not as usual. I am so excited to have returning champ returning guest Kwadwo on the podcast. Back on the podcast for. Because we had so much fun the first time, let’s do it again. Round two. Kwadwo, I’m so happy to have you back. How have you been? Let’s just start there. Loaded question.
Kwadwo:
How have I been? What do I share? I’ve been quite well. The kids are almost on vacation and it’s summer. It’s bright outside down here where I live in Mexico.
Meg:
Nice. Oh, I love it. And you guys just traveled a bit, so just having a good time.
Kwadwo:
Yay.
Meg:
Well, let’s get into it. For those of you who didn’t listen to the first episode, we will link that as well for sure because you want to go listen to it. But if you didn’t, I would love you just to share a little bit about your backstory, how you got into the ad world, how you became an ad manager and strategist and coach, because it’s very specific. So I’d love to hear, like, what got you into this world.
Kwadwo:
I used to run ads for myself when I was a course creator teaching people who lived in China expats how to learn Mandarin Chinese in their free time, like outside of work. And I did ads the wrong way, which meant that it made me kind of famous. Got lots of followers on Instagram and like, how many of you know, raise your hand? Even though I can’t see you, I’m raising mine. Wouldn’t it be great if everybody who followed us on Instagram actually decided to buy our program and let us help them? Right?
Meg:
That’s a dream world.
Kwadwo:
In the dream world, Right? So there’s a proper and a wrong way to run ads. I was doing it wrong. And then because if you’re paying attention during the intro, I don’t live in China anymore. I was there for 12 years, but my wife and my two young kids at the time decided to take a five week vacation, Spanish immersion program type vacation to Mexico. That was two weeks before COVID broke out and we got stranded in Mexico and we’re still here to this day. And so when you asked how I got into Facebook and Instagram ads, like, I want to be clear, it’s not like I’m a robot and ads are my passion play. It’s running Facebook and Instagram ads successfully for online course creators and coaches. That’s what pays the bills and keeps, you know, the lights on. And I do that now because it was a practical skill. I Had to develop in the middle of the pandemic. I literally had a part time job working at an ads agency and then I had another part time job coaching inside of somebody else’s Mastermind course creators and coaches who had big businesses that were working quite well. And what I learned from that was that lots of these folks who are taking their skill and their passion, the thing that they were gifted with and helping folks at scale, lots of people, right, were running Facebook and Instagram ads and so I learned to serve that same person many times. They’re the primary income earner in their household and by helping them further their reach, that’s how I help my family, you know, and live down here in Mexico.
Meg:
I love it. And it’s, it’s pretty cool to see so many stories I hear are similar in the sense that we weren’t good at something or we, we did it wrong and out of necessity we had to figure out how to do it right. And I, those are always so much more, I lean into those and I, I’m so much more apt to hire someone in that way than someone who seemed to never have a hiccup which isn’t ever real. But sometimes we just don’t share those parts. So I, I love when people share those. Hey, I did it wrong actually. And that’s how I learned how to do it correctly. And then it really changed for me and I made that, you know, my business. So I’m now helping so many other people do it. So I love that. And I think too we talked about this a lot in our first episode, so I won’t belabor on it too much here, but ads can be so overwhelming and confusing for people. And one of these things, I know we’re going to talk about this actually a good amount today. We’re where they just spend. So I mean this was me many years ago too. So much money on it without any plan and not being really intentional and really having this promise or this false hope. I guess I should say that this is going to solve everything. I’m just going to throw money at the problem and all of my leads will come in and everyone will buy. I’m curious how often you hear that or you see people take that on when they’re getting into this, this world and just starting out with ads.
Kwadwo:
It happens all too frequently. Megan and I blame social media, right, because it feeds us more of the content we consume. And as online business owners, course creators, coaches, we’re looking at things about marketing. So then we see the. I won’t throw any bro marketer under the bus, so to speak. But we see this content that is only the highlight reel. I, I made this much money, I put in $1 and got 20 back from ads. And we hear people telling us we need to run ads, we need to run ads, but frankly, a lot of it is cavalier advice. Whereas like I stand for responsible growth advertising. And the responsible thing to do is before we just throw money at ads, we need to get good, grounded help and we need to make sure that our offer is always already converting quite well organically so that we can make an educated decision, which is to say what you just said happens all too frequently because somebody rushes into ads, it was probably too early for their business. They weren’t looking at the right numbers in their business or their funnel, if you will. And so then they just thought they could turn on ads and click a few buttons and it would work, and it didn’t. And, and then fear set in and maybe they left their ads on too long, they didn’t know what they were doing, they lost the money. And all of a sudden that very easy to listen to negative voice that we all have to fight comes on in their head saying, oh well, ads don’t work for you or your business isn’t good or you’re not good. And really it’s not that. It’s just that they started too early and they were a bit misled in their ads journey and they were looking at the wrong signals in ads.
Meg:
And so much of what you said, I’m like, that’s just such a good example of, or an analogy for so many parts of business too right? Is the wrong metrics, the wrong signals too early for certain things and not enough like proof of concept. So I love that you shared that. And that’s again, we’re going to link the first interview that we did below because we talked about that in a lot of depth, how to know when you’re ready and certain things to track and all of that. But what we wanted to get into today is for people who are either currently running ads or have in the past and they’re, they want to make them better, they want them to convert more. Of course, who wouldn’t, right? But they don’t know what’s working, what’s not working. They aren’t sure what to fix, what not to fix. So that’s really kind of the combo we want to have today. So before or the first question I guess I have for this is like when you have someone come in who’s running ads or has recently, and they’re like, I want to do that. I want to make them better. I want to figure out what’s working, what’s not, etc. Or what’s like, the. The most important metric for them to look at. When to see what is what is working with their ads or not working. I guess I should say so to
Kwadwo:
see what’s working with their ads. Honestly, I believe the most important metric is not actually an ads metric. It’s a funnel metric, and it’s called earnings per lead. They need to know how much their earnings per lead. The name of the game is in ads, this is how much you make per lead. And down here, this other hand I’m holding with my rings on is how much you have to pay per lead. And that gap is the profit. It’s very clear when you’re running ads how much you’re paying per lead. If you know your earnings per lead is very high, then you have a buffer against error because you’re making so much per lead. You don’t have to obsess about all of these other metrics. That definitely can matter and make or break a funnel or your ads, but your earnings per lead is healthy, and that gives you room to breathe and focus on doing what you do best, which is serving people.
Meg:
Okay, that makes sense. And where do you find. What metric do you think people over obsess over, I guess, or overanalyze when they should really be looking at their earnings per lead? I’m curious.
Kwadwo:
Oh, well, this one’s very easy. Inside of ad manager, folks are usually over obsessing on their cost per lead. Like, there’s this myth that when we run ads, we should have a very low cost per lead. And so people are always like, how can I get my cost per lead low? And the thing here is, is that first of all, you don’t want to get your cost per lead too low. Like, I could get you very low cost per leads. I could show your ads to folks in Nigeria, and you would get cost per leads of like 30 cents, right? No shade on my Nigerian friends. My dad’s from Ghana. Let’s say we’re showing your ads to people from Ghana in Africa. That way nobody can accuse me of anything. Right? Super low cost per lead. But does that person have the available discretionary finances to purchase your $700 offer? Maybe. But would that represent like two months a month of their income, half a year of their income? And so it’s not just about low cost per lead. That’s why I focus on high earnings per lead. And quite frankly, I’ve had clients who have a very high cost per lead. If I shared it, you, dear listener, might be like, oh my gosh, I’m never going to run ads. But you know why that didn’t matter? Because their earnings per lead was way higher. And I’ve never had a client say, Kwadwo, I’m paying too high in cost per lead. But I’m making a hundred dollars, one hundred and fifty dollars per lead. I want my cost per lead lower. That doesn’t happen because it’s that profit gap.
Meg:
Yeah. It just make the math. Maths. It makes sense to do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. That’s, that’s really helpful to actually to hear. Cause I think I’ve even heard that term and, and I think this is just another. It’s just, well, our first nod to the fact that it, it feels like a topic sometimes that I think can be self taught. And that’s probably why a lot of people are very confused. They don’t know what’s working, what’s not, and why. Having guidance, mentorship, a system that, you know, works, which we’re going to talk about the ad room in a little bit, is so important because I can’t imagine the amount of time that people spend. I mean, I know because I used to more so mine was outsourcing. So it was money on trying to figure this out. And it’s like the, the amount of time. Time literally is money. Especially when you could have a system that’s bringing you in those higher costs per lead. So I think that’s just like an important little, little note to kind of think of as we continue the conversation. So I want to talk about like the person whose ads just kind of like in their terms because I’m sure you hear this a lot. Like my ads just aren’t working. Which is such a general, vague statement. Right. I’m sure you’re like, well, there’s a lot to that. Essentially they’re spending money and they feel like they’re not getting their return. Or like you said, their earnings per lead is not where they want it to be at all. What is the breakdown? What actually is? What’s breaking down most of the time? What are the things that you find are actually not working or things that they need to learn?
Kwadwo:
I’ll paint an analogy and I think that will be. Or maybe it’s a metaphor. I did not do well in English
Meg:
class and I always mix those two too. I never know, I’m like, I don’t know which one that is, which one is it?
Kwadwo:
I will say for the person who’s like running off on the podcast, when Megan mentions the ad room, that is done with you Facebook and Instagram ads. And all that means is that the course creator or coach, if you’re listening and already running your Facebook and Instagram ads to a lead magnet, a launch or a low ticket offer, and you’re like, I’m running the ads, they could be working better. I’m not sure how to make them work better. Better. Then you’re in a room with me, an ad manager, and somebody who gets funnels so that I can guide you so you can make better ad decisions and get better ad results and your funnel will convert better. And we’ll go through that journey over the next five months so that you don’t have to run ads alone and keep guessing and wasting money and time, by the way. So now to your question. Here’s the metaphor or analogy. We want to sail. I was going to give an Avengers analogy, but I think we’ll stick with sailing because people get sailing, right? We want to go sailing. We’ve been told that sailing is pretty fun. So we’re going to hop on a boat, right? But as soon as we set out on that boat, what happens? The waves come at us from a different direction. Or when we were practicing, we. Or on that video on Instagram, there were no waves in the water. Sailing was easy. There was a light nor’ easterly wind and we were just cruising. Right? But that doesn’t happen in real life. The waves start to come or the wind comes at you crooked from the wrong angle and all of a sudden there’s so many little ropes on the boat and we don’t know which one to pull. And so either then our little sailing boat. I’m thinking of all those little one person boats that you take out for class when you’re selling. Either it capsizes and the instructor has to come get you or you’re not sure how to get back to shore. And these scenarios are exactly what I see happening when people are running their own ads. It’s very easy. Well, you don’t have to press many buttons inside of ad manager to turn on your Facebook and Instagram ads or whether you’ve turned them on. Right? That’s a whole nother deal, right? But then what happens is, is maybe your cost per lead starts to climb or you’re running ads to your low ticket $47 offer and you’re realizing, oh, shoot, it’s only $47, but I’m paying $70 per sale. What do I do? And because. And it’s not your fault. Facebook and Instagram ads is super difficult, right? But because you don’t know how to interpret the data, you’re not even sure what metrics to look at. And so then when things don’t go right initially, you got a choice, which is keep them on and keep losing money, or go scramble on YouTube and try to watch another 20 minute tutorial and pull out that one piece that’s going to help you. But that tutorial wasn’t made specifically for your situation, you know, or, or just don’t look like, put your head down. Don’t look at those meta bills that are showing up on your credit card. And that’s where we get the horror stories. Like, I wasted so much money, ads don’t work for me. But that is the analogy or metaphor of the issue that I see a lot with folks that are running ads by themselves.
Meg:
That’s a good one. And I think that last one is where a lot of people live. I lived in that for sure. Where it’s like, if I just don’t look at the numbers, are they real? Is it real? We’ll just pretend it’s not. It’s very real. And like you said, it’s very fixable. Um, I think that’s a perfect analogy. And it’s funny, as you were saying, or metaphor. We still don’t know. But as you were saying, I was like, they make it easy to spend. Anyone could start it. Right? Because Facebook wants to make it really easy for you to. Or meta, I guess, to. To be able to actually spend the money. But, you know, we want you to be able to spend it in a way that’s actually going to bring in those quality leads and those, those quality clients that you’re excited to work at, you know, excited to work with.
Kwadwo:
Here’s what’s, here’s what’s at stake. Like, if we don’t learn to pull the right ads levers, and if we don’t learn to pull the right funnel lever, then we are literally, ooh, I heard this. It was from a. Who was it from? It was from a Christian pastor and he said something that kind of struck me. He said, where is the richest place on the face of this earth? Any guesses? Maybe you heard it too.
Meg:
Oh, no.
Kwadwo:
Right. Okay. So, yeah, I don’t know.
Meg:
I have a couple guesses, but I don’t think they’re right.
Kwadwo:
Right. So his answer wasn’t like, a country. It wasn’t Luxembourg, where they make a lot of money per capita per person. Right. It wasn’t the U.S. his answer was, the richest place on the face of this earth is. Is the graveyard. And I was like, oh. Huh? And he was like, because so many of us go through life without realizing our full potential, or we have ideas or gifts or passions that we didn’t actually use, and we took them with us to the grave. And that for me, and I’m assuming for you, too, as an online business owner, coach, course creator, that literally is the people that we should have helped with the skills and gifts that we were blessed with, but that we didn’t because we couldn’t magnify our reach or we kept playing small. And I’m not saying risk it all on ads. No, no. What I’m saying is, is we have a responsibility to magnify what’s working and even learn how to do that the right way. Because there are. And it does sound really cheesy, but it is very, very true. Like, there’s people on the other side of that screen or who, like, have the problem that you best solve, Megan, and they will never hear about you unless you’re reaching them with ads. There’s folks who can hear about you organically, but there literally are people who will never hear about you or me or the listener right now. There’s folks who will never hear about you unless you figure out how to effectively reach them with ads. And then effectively through your funnel. Sell. Because selling is serving.
Meg:
Yeah. Yeah, that was a big thing that we were talking about before we hit record, is you can be running ads to a funnel, and then the earnings per lead is not high, and it’s not because of the ads. It’s because of the actual funnel. And something is, you know, something’s broken there. And you haven’t been looking at the actual funnel stat. So what is. I know this is something that you definitely cover when the ad room. Like, ads versus funnels. Like, what is one really big mistake that people tend to make when setting up their funnel?
Kwadwo:
Well, let’s just talk about the webinar funnel because. And when we say funnel, we’re just talking about the various steps, like opt in page to the webinar, show up emails to the webinar to the sales. Right. So a huge mistake. And it’s one that I also am learning. Like, lest you, dear listener, think that I’m, like, up on this podium or pedestal, like, preaching at you, like I’ve done the mistakes. We could talk about how I spent $7,000 and got no sales to show for it. And that was like over several months. And how my wife started asking me like, what are these meta ads, like bill on the, on the credit card, you know, and she believed in me and I had to look at her and like tell her I’ve been making mistakes. You know, like we could talk about that. But let’s talk about webinars. Biggest mistake I see is that a creator, a coach, course creator, is just over teaching on the webinar. Because we come from a place of education and of course we were taught growing up that learning more is good. We got to cram all the details in our mind so we can pass the test. But for helping people, when you over teach on a webinar, you actually hurt yourself twice. You don’t get the sell because that person who showed up to the webinar, they, they get a lot from you and they falsely think that they have enough to go and get a result by themself. And of course we know as the people giving the webinar that the only true way to get the result is in our program, which is why we had the webinar in the first place to sell our program. But then we over taught. So then they leave and they actually don’t get the result because how could they have enough information from the webinar to get the result? So one, they don’t get the result. Two, they look at you and they blame you because they’re not going to look at themselves and say, oh, I just didn’t pay for the thing, so I didn’t get the result in my life. They’re going to look at you and say, oh, they didn’t know how to teach or what they teach doesn’t work. And so then your brand literally is being hurt by the bad news. You know, they say like complaints or bad news spreads like seven times faster than good news or a testimonial. And so your brand is being hurt. Somebody didn’t potentially somebody now can’t get help from you because they’re probably not going to come back to you. And then also you made less money selling your program. And it all happens to be because of over teaching. And that’s a big one that I see. I just helped a lady with that this past month in June, where we, I have this nifty thing where I taught Claude based off like a webinar framework to analyze like the transcript of a webinar and then come out with ways that you can shift from over educating, you know, the hour and a half webinar to educating around the issue, the pain that somebody came to a webinar to solve, and more educating them about the urgency behind taking action and solving this thing in their life, not just educating them about a solution, if that makes sense.
Meg:
Yeah, 100%. That’s a shift. I think a lot of people listening know they have to make. Um, it’s a big topic of conversation I have with my clients and it’s something I’ve struggled with a lot over the years. And I remember one very specific webinar. I didn’t run ads actually, but it. I ended up having. This was in 2023. I had like, or I did run ads, but very, very, very minimal. It was like not a big campaign at all. And I ended up having a thousand people register for that event. I was so excited. It was organically did great. And after day one, I closed my laptop and we had a lot of people on live. It was so exciting. And I said, oh, no. And I just knew right away. I said, I just gave away so much. I overwhelmed everyone in a. They’ll say good way, but I know not good way. And I changed course for day two and three. But I hands down know that launch could have done so much better. And then I remember when I came back from having my voice, the first, like, real structured launch I did, I really worked on that. And there were so many moments I said, oh, I feel like I’m not teaching enough. Like, is this enough? And it got such incredible feedback because the actual shifts, the mindset shifts, the perspective shifts, people realizing what they know and don’t know. That’s huge value for people. Value doesn’t have to equal facts and, and tactics and strategies. So that just for me, unlocked a lot. And I was like, okay, I’m never over teaching again or I’m going to try never to over teach again. Because it doesn’t help anyone, you know,
Kwadwo:
it doesn’t at all. This is very near and dear to me as a former language teacher and somebody that’s passionate about learning language. The perfect example very quickly is I have a webinar about the best 7 things to say in Spanish, right? Like I, I could educate you on that webinar with 20 phrases to say in Spanish and then try to sell my Spanish course, right? But then the reason people came to the webinar is because they want to learn Spanish and a better way to get them into my Spanish course. Would be to talk about how if they don’t learn Spanish finally. Well, one, if they have kids, their kids probably know that they tried to learn because I already bought books and their kids are watching them as an example. Two, if they don’t learn that language, they’re never going to leave the resort when they visit Mexico. And there’s so many great cultural experiences that can only be had when we try. And it’s not even about perfecting Spanish. It’s just about making the effort. And then as soon as we make that effort, somebody who’s a native Spanish speaker, like, they open up their heart because we’re trying to speak in their heart language. And then there’s all the benefits of learning about another culture through the lens of that culture, their language. And by the time I’ve talked about this, I’ve also educated, but I’ve educated around this issue. They need to hurry up and learn Spanish and all the benefits around it and some real bad things that could happen, so to speak, if they don’t learn Spanish. And with that kind of education, I can move somebody more effectively into a decision to learn Spanish. And it’s the same kind of thing that we’re even doing on this episode, so to speak.
Meg:
Yeah, 100%. Yeah, exactly, exactly. Because the truly, if the crux of it is you do want to help people, you know, the actual help they’re going to get is in your program is with the full process. Right. And yes, they can consume all of your free content and try to put some pieces together, but we all know that it’s very rare. It’s actually going to work for someone in the way that they really want it to. So that’s super, super helpful. And then I know another thing that you mentioned before we started recording that a lot of people simply do, which no shame to anyone who does this because boy, have I done it. And I know you’ve probably had a lot of clients not do it, but is not simply not tracking, like not actually knowing where anyone is coming from so that they can make educated decision decisions on what to put in their funnel? How often do you find that’s the case is people just simply don’t know what their funnel metrics are very often
Kwadwo:
because they don’t know Webinar example, they don’t know where their leads came from. In this day and age where we have multiple platforms, we’re on YouTube, we’re on Instagram, we also have our email list. We need to know where our leads are coming from because our time is limited. And if our time is limited and we truly act like that, then how are we going to help the most people? We’re going to help the most people where the most people who are ready to get help are at. And so I tell people, and this is a very concrete piece of advice. Let’s say you’re on YouTube, you’re on Instagram, right? And we’re going to have a webinar. And so I have a webinar opt in page. I must take that page and I must duplicate it. So it’s the same page, but there’s a YouTube version and there’s an Instagram version, and maybe even there’s an additional version for. For my organic email list. They all look the same, but on the back end, when they connect to my email system, they’re tagged differently. So I know if this is a lead that came from YouTube, I know if this is a lead that came from Instagram or from my email list. And just by doing that at the end of my launch, I can say, oh, this percentage of sales came from folks who heard from me on Instagram. And, oh, those folks weren’t even following me on YouTube because I can see there’s no YouTube leads there. And that allows me to make a decision, where am I going to put my time? Because we all have very limited days once we have kids, we have limited energy and shorter days, it seems, and we got to be effective. And it starts with good tracking. And that’s just one little example of the things that we can do to improve our funnels.
Meg:
Oh, I love that. That’s. No, that’s so helpful. And it’s. It just shows. Again, like we were saying, there’s. There’s a lot of moving parts. And I know this is one of those things that we want it to just be that magic secret thing. Okay. We hired the ads manager or we hired the. The person to do it. And then, man, I’m between the ads manager fee, between the amount I’m spending on ads, am I making anything? Am I profiting at all? Or am I profiting so little that it just feels like not worth the time and the energy? And I think that’s where to segue. And that’s really where the genius idea for the ad room comes from. So I’d love for you to share a little bit more about. I mean, even though I kind of set it up in that way, I know that’s part of what you told me, that reason you put it together. But, like, how this is, like A really nice blend of kind of like not needing a ad strategist to do it for you and paying those really big fees, but not swimming on your own and doing it all on yourself or just trying to follow a course, but really, truly the mixture. I’d love you to share the uniqueness of this offer, essentially.
Kwadwo:
Okay, cool. Well, that’s easy enough. I’m an ads manager.
Meg:
Yeah.
Kwadwo:
And the problem is that not everyone can afford to pay, let’s say, $2,500 a month in ads management fees and then on top of that, $5,000 of ad spend. Right. In order to grow their business. However, way before their business can support that kind of investment, there are many folks you’re probably listening right now where your offer is already converting profitably. Right. And on a repeatable basis, whatever you do to sell, it works. And you need a way to be able to grow your business and get out of. What’s that term, the messy middle that you talk about, Megan?
Meg:
Yep.
Kwadwo:
And so hiring out ads doesn’t work, but then running ads will work. But then how do you learn to run ads? And that’s where I came up with the ad room. Done with you. Where from the get go, I get right into your ad account and the ads that you’re running, I modify those ads and set them up the right way, the way that I would do so for like a done for you client. And then everyone in the room, so to speak, on a weekly basis, benefits from me looking at somebody’s ad account and pointing out what I would see wrong and what I would change to get better results. That way we’re learning. It’s like having somebody in that sailboat right alongside you saying, hey, a wave is coming from the left. So you want to adjust your rudder to head into the wave. And you’re like, oh, I wouldn’t know that. Of course you wouldn’t. That’s why we got me working with you. And then the same thing for the funnels. Right. A funnel seems nebulous. It seems complicated. Leads are coming in, sales are coming out. What can we really do to increase those sales? So then every week in the ad room, I’m there reviewing people’s opt in pages, sales pages, email sequences to point out, here’s what we can do to bring more leads through successfully to. To the end. So they buy. That’s.
Meg:
And that’s. Yeah. Sorry not to cut you off, but that is such a value add. Because that’s something that I especially learned in the. Even this last launch, I did like the tiny tweaks to copy, especially reaching a cold audience is actually gonna be wildly different than. Cause a lot of people here listening might just be newer to ads. It’s different than the warm audience copy a lot of the times. And I’ve, I learned that. Right. And so you’re helping people shortcut that and go he. Here’s these tiny tweaks. And when you can watch like I love groups for that reason, but I think groups like this where it’s so practical and you can make those changes, right? Then I could go, oh, I saw what he just did there. Let me go to my page and see where else I have the same kind of cadence, I have the same kind of flow that’s not working. I can go change that. So I just, I love that’s so valuable. I think that’s just even more valuable than someone just handing it off because you have, you just take a little bit of the power back. You’re an ads manager, so you’re obviously not, you know, putting ads managers down by any means, but you understand that there’s another way to do it. And I think this is just such a cool, unique, beautiful blend of it.
Kwadwo:
Well, yeah, and for context, I would say let’s say somebody’s business is grossing like, I don’t know, 600, 700, $800,000 a year. Most definitely they should hire an ads manager because obviously the business growth is there and, and they grew their business. So would they grow their business more if they were able to focus on other areas of their business? Like probably. Absolutely. I believe so. Okay, so somebody running their own ads, then coming into something like the ad room, it’s just, we’re going to get rid of that feeling about I don’t know what to do, I don’t know how to make my ads work, or I don’t know how to improve my funnel. Like that feeling goes bye bye, because I’m working and then also helping serving. The other people who are in the room too are also right there. They’re running their own ads, they’re sharing what’s working. So the bad practices go down and all the good stuff that’s working comes to the top. And it’s really about saving time. Like, I do believe in the ability of, like you, the listener, to eventually figure out Facebook and Instagram ads. Like, absolutely, you can do it, right? But how long will it take you to do it? And here’s something we don’t talk about. Like, will you give up before you figure it out? Are you Willing to pay the cost of learning it by yourself, like, over the next year, you know, and all the mistakes that meta is just waiting for you to make it. Not to, like, you know, try to trigger anybody, but when you got, like, 37 options inside of Ad Manager to click, you know that you could change as far as running your ads, and you don’t know, like, which ones are the best ones or which ones you should ignore even. It’s just a mistake waiting to happen. And so it’s doing something like the ad room is just. It’s a shortcut. Yeah, it really is a shortcut. It’s a shortcut on energy wasted, on money wasted, and on time wasted, and 100%.
Meg:
Yeah. And I know the majority of the people listening are similar to me in the sense that we’re visionaries, we’re creators, and unless we’re. You’re super analytical and love getting into the nitty gritty of that, the idea of doing it ourselves is so painful. Like, wasting that time. I’m like, there’s literally anything else I’d rather do. And so it’s. We’re just gonna stop before we get ahead. We’re just gonna quit before we get. Get there, and then we’re gonna just complain that it didn’t work for us. Speaking from experience, right?
Kwadwo:
My hand is raised, too. My hand is raised.
Meg:
It’s like when you have that vision and you’re like, I just want to be the visionary. I just want to coach. I just want to create. You get to. And you can outsource some of that and. And still, like you said, have that middle ground so you’re not like, paying so many fees and all of this, and you get to really learn, and there’s just so much power in knowledge. When you’re like, okay, it’s frustrating to learn this on my own. It’s confusing. But when you can get that shortcut, then you’re like, oh, okay, now I’m, like, excited to do a little bit of this more analytical stuff than I usually do. And. And it can be fun for you. So, yeah, I’m really excited about this. I think this is awesome. I think anyone who’s running ads or is, like, in that realm getting started with it or knows that what they’re doing isn’t really working, please, please, please go check it out. The link is going to be in the show notes, and then kwajo. They can go message you, obviously, on Instagram to chat about this as well as well. Correct?
Kwadwo:
Sure. Yeah.
Meg:
Awesome. And that’s Just Q, U, A, Y, J, O. We will link it below as well. Any last, just parting words for our people who are just getting into this, this realm of I’m ready to start scaling with ads.
Kwadwo:
My parting words are something that I had said earlier, which is that I really do believe that we. You were blessed with skills and passion and talents around a certain subject. And I do believe in that situation, as online course creators and coaches, the most responsible thing we can do for our families, you know, for our businesses, is make sure that we know how to do the hard things. We know how to run ads, we know how to work on our funnel. That way we can actually go and serve more people. Like, I believe the program that you have, it’s serving people well and thus it’s that ripple effect that people talk about. But you’re going to make that impact on their life because they came into your world and went through that transformation. So, like, I just want to encourage you, the listener, this is worth it. Like your business growing, the impact that you’ll have and also on your own family and yourself too. It’s all worth it. Whether or not that’s with me inside of the ad room, you owe it to yourself and have the responsibility to take action and go learn ads and improving your funnel.
Meg:
Oh, I love that. That’s. That’s so beautiful. And there’s. It’s such a bigger, like you said, a bigger mission. Right. And it’s. If you’re doing this work, it’s for a reason and it deserves to meet the right people. And I think that’s. That’s what you do, which is pretty cool. So thank you so much, Kwajo. This was such a great, great conversation. So glad to have you back. I know you’ll be back for a third time, so I’m excited for that. And then everyone go check out the ad room in the show notes as well as just DM Quajo online on Instagram and yeah, hopefully see you guys in there and. And I’ll see you guys on the next episode. Thank you.
Kwadwo:
Thank you.
