Meet: Kylee Chandler

Kylee Chandler has spent nearly a decade helping top podcasters grow their shows in a big way. As the podcast manager for Amy Porterfield’s Online Marketing Made Easy, she helped grow monthly downloads from 400,000 to over 1 million—consistently. She later served as Chief Growth Officer for Cathy Heller, and the quizzes she built for both brought in thousands of new subscribers along the way.

Now through her own company, Podcast Marketing Hub, Kylee helps female entrepreneurs turn their podcasts into lead-generating growth engines using strategies like SEO-optimized show notes, podcast-centric quizzes, and funnel integration that actually convert. She’s helped over 150 podcasters amplify their reach without living on Instagram.

When she’s not in podcast strategy mode, she’s traveling full-time with her family and exploring the Rockies.

TRANSCRIPT

Meg Yelaney (00:02.046)

Welcome back to Business Not as Usual. I am so excited to have Kylee Chandler on to talk very, I guess, meta inception-y, all things podcasts, as we’re on a podcast. Welcome, Kylee. So happy to have you here.

Kylee Chandler (00:15.47)

thank you, Megan. we just hopped off interviewing for my podcast and it was so fun. And I feel like there’s so like our brains just work a lot alike and I feel like we talk about the same thing. So so fun. Yeah.

Meg Yelaney (00:26.494)

You were saying when we were on the interview, you were saying something. your your brain works in podcast episode titles. And I was like, mine works in hooks. And we’re like, we need to combine forces because that’s not a skill of mine, and and you’re and you need mine. So we’re gonna we’re gonna do that from now on, which I love. I love it, I love it. But yeah, I am so grateful to be connected with you, Holly Haynes, the fabulous Holly Haynes, who was on the podcast recently.

was recommending us connect. And then right away I was like, Yes, this is someone I immediately felt like a connection with and just had so much fun on your podcast. So I will, of course, link that episode and link your podcast as well for everyone to go listen to. It was a great conversation. it’s like you’ve been doing this for so long. I was like, wow, you’re really good at this. Surprise. But I would love to first just hear a little bit about your story and how you got into podcasting and and

Kylee Chandler (01:09.602)

Surprise.

Meg Yelaney (01:17.895)

helping others with their podcast. It’s such a specific field. So I’d love to know like how you got how you ended up here.

Kylee Chandler (01:24.31)

my gosh, it’s so funny. probably 15 years ago, my girlfriend and I, we were like health coaches in another life, and we started a podcast and we hosted it on SoundCloud. I don’t even know if it’s around anymore, but it was like such a different world back then. and then fast forward, I had just been following Amy Porterfield for my health coaching business, and she posted that she needs a content.

met content coordinator or something like that. Well, I come from journalism originally and part of that description was like has had podcast experience. And I was like, well, I’ve I’ve had a little podcast experience. So applied for that. Ended up getting the role, moving from content coordinator to podcast manager to like content marketing manager and really owning the podcast for almost six years, grew up by two hundred and thirty four percent.

really got into like the strategy of it and and all the things. So that was really wonderful. From there, I went on to support Kathy Heller. I was kind of her right hand woman. We did some podcast stuff, worked with Boss Babe. And then at that point I was like, I’m ready to go out on my own. Like I wanna help more female entrepreneurs use their podcast as the cornerstone of their marketing. And so now I

I’m just over a year into my business and I’ve been able to help over a hundred and fifty female entrepreneurs with their podcasts. So

Meg Yelaney (02:53.388)

That’s amazing. I love that. And it’s so cool. Like you saw the opportunity, you know, you could have easily like ignored that, you know, ad, I guess, if you will. And and you were like, hey, I kind of have this experience. So I think it’s just such a good nudge for people. Like you didn’t have years and years of experience. You weren’t a podcast producer, but you were like, I have enough that I could like, you know, kind of not fake till you make it, but figure it out. And then you did figure it out, you know?

Kylee Chandler (03:21.289)

Ha ha

Meg Yelaney (03:22.018)

And so it’s just like I think so many people give themselves like, I need to have like 10 plus years of this specific skill. And you know, you brought all like you said, you brought in a big thing we talk about is bringing in your lived experience into your actual work. You brought in your journalism like background, you know, you had all of this that probably looked really great. And so don’t forget everyone, like, bring in your actual lived experience into your business. Like that’s gonna make you stand out from other people. So just wanted to highlight that. Love it.

And you’re also a mom of a three-year-old and 30 weeks pregnant as we’re recording this, which is so impressive. Thank you for being here. I love it. We got you in before before the like the countdown. but there’s so many things like we were talking before, like so many avenues we could take. This I’m sure we’ll have to do a part two when you’re back from maternity leave. But a couple things that we were chatting about. I have a lot of clients and a lot of people listening here who either have a podcast or know they want.

Kylee Chandler (03:57.454)

my gosh, yeah.

Meg Yelaney (04:18.757)

And one thing that we were chatting really quick before about was that Instagram in particular is just not enough anymore. And even people with very big Instagram accounts will tell you that. Like it’s a grind. And it’s I like to look at Instagram as almost like a business card that can drive growth to this, to the podcast. To now I’m blogging. Holly.

was like, you need to blog and then my SEO girl Brittany was like, You need to blog Okay guys, I’m gonna blog, damn it. I’m blogging now.

Kylee Chandler (04:51.758)

Easy content for your blog. Yeah.

Meg Yelaney (04:54.41)

yeah, I’ve been doing that. I’ve just been like, transcript, Claude Cowork, write a blog for me. It’s been amazing. but I I just think like we’re at that point where if you have been complaining about the Instagram algorithm and complaining about Instagram for so much so many years, and I was in this this camp, you have to do something about it. And it’s really hard for people to truly get to know you through Instagram unless you’re living on stories. Now, yes, they can get to know you on Instagram stories, it’s great.

And there is just something about being in someone’s ears when they are like, as you’re listening to this, you might be in the shower. You might be going to the bathroom. Like we take our podcasts everywhere. We’re just doing this this our normal stuff. And they’re like on your they’re with you in your normal day. And there’s this intimacy that cannot be reached by other platforms, you know, maybe YouTube, but it’s like a very similar style, you know? And so I think now more than ever, it’s almost

a requirement to have some kind of longer form content where people can really get to know you and that then you can use for your other platforms. So anywho, I know you work with people who are obviously very established with podcasts. For for those of my audience who are like, is it worth it? Am I too new to do a podcast? Like what would you say to them?

Kylee Chandler (06:12.332)

No, it’s such a great point. You need to have long form content that, you know, is living off of these social platforms because we don’t own our followers, you know, on TikTok or Instagram as well. And it’s so much easier to get into somebody’s world through a podcast. I will totally admit it’s it’s a long game. Like you can’t expect to release 10 episodes and have 10 million downloads. It doesn’t work like that. But my goodness, there is, if you ask,

Anybody, I mean, Megan, you even mentioned this. Holly’s mentioned it. Like so many of my clients say, when I pull my audience, I would say 90% who buy from me find me through my podcast, come in through my podcast. And it’s such a unique way, especially in this season of people saying we’re in a trust recession or whatever you want to call it. It’s like it is a podcast becomes part of your ideal listeners’ day, which is really cool. It’s like I’m going to pick up the kids and I listen to.

Megan ’cause she releases her episodes on I can’t remember what day, but

Meg Yelaney (07:14.178)

Mondays. I would be very impressed if you remember that.

Kylee Chandler (07:17.614)

And so it’s like every Monday I tune into Meg and I see what’s happening in, you know, this or that. And or I go on a walk and I put Kylee’s podcast on. And that that’s the system, that’s the routine that they have. And so it’s like such a different edge. On top of it, we were talking about AI. And, you know, I think Joe Rogan tried to do like an AI episode and it it flopped. I’m pretty sure he talked about that. And my girlfriend just tried to do an AI ads.

An ad, and she said that bocked. And it’s like these this is showing us that we need a place where we’re not using AI. And you talked about it in our our episode. And it’s so good for so many things. But when it comes to sitting down and just like teaching how you teach or sharing something vurn vulnerable, or like I recorded an episode, this is my third recording of the day. One was solo and I was like.

Hey guys, like I’ve had a sinus infection for two weeks. I’m 30 weeks pregnant. I sound a little congested, but I want to get this information to you because it’s so good. So bear with me. And it’s like people will probably respond to that and be like, my gosh, I hope you’re feeling better. Or this, not that I’m saying it for pity, but it’s like it makes you feel more human. And podcast gives you the time and space to do that. And I don’t think I can say that without saying, yes, YouTube is an option, right?

But you don’t have to do YouTube. If you feel like, if I do a podcast, I have to do YouTube. That’s not the case. It’s just not right now. And I just think that and also let’s look at Jenna Kutcher. Like, I don’t know, 700 plus 9,000 episodes. And she decided to hang it up after all these years. But you want to know what’s cool. That content is still driving people to her website, to her offers, to her email list.

‘Cause that’s how a podcast works. And so

Meg Yelaney (09:15.726)

I love that. I love this conversation. It’s such a great place to send people to get to know you more, to trust you. It’s such a faster way. Like I think I was telling you this, almost every client that I’ve had has referenced the podcast in some way, shape, or form. And I don’t have the wildest download numbers, but it’s really converting. So I’m like, okay. And I have, you know, I’ll have my launch sequ series where I will have a couple episodes that are more focused on my offer, but

90% of the time it’s not. It’s not selling. It’s just value, value, value. And like you there might be an ad in there. But that’s what’s so great about it too. It really is the giving. And I love that you reminded us about the appointment watching because I do have clients that are like, it’s Monday. I’m so excited. Or they’re like, Meg, the the episode was late. Like one time my husband and I miss had a miscommunication and he had to do it the Monday morning instead of the night before. And my my client was like, where’s the episode? I listened to this on the way to work. Where is it?

Why is it released?

Kylee Chandler (10:15.766)

What I just what am I supposed to do with myself?

Meg Yelaney (10:18.25)

Like and I get it because I’m I have a couple podcasts that I love listening to that’s outside of business. I love Giggly Squad. I don’t know if you know Giggly Squad at all, and Armchair Expert are like two of my favorites and Amy Por Amy not Porterfield, Polar’s podcast, Good Hang. Obsessed. And so like those I know when they come out. I get so excited. I’m like on my walk today, that’s what I’m listening to. And it’s if it’s not out or something, I’d be like, what’s happening? Like, what do I do with myself? So

I love that. That’s so great. Something you mentioned before we started was podcast-centric quizzes that I would love you to share about because I have also had a ton of clients do quizzes and just be really quizzes are such a good lead magnet. People love self-identifying. So, what is a podcast-centric quiz? Tell us more about that.

Kylee Chandler (10:52.142)

trick.

Kylee Chandler (11:07.052)

Yeah, this is kind of my bread and butter, and I just love teaching this so much. And what I’ll say is the way I do it is just so unique because it kind of taps into some of the things you talk about, Megan, where it’s like, yes, we’re using AI and in some aspects of it, but there’s also like putting together what I call buckets, like customer buckets, that are essentially your results that require you and your brain and your heart and the conversations you’ve had. but

The way that it’s different than any other quiz is somebody comes into your world, they take the quiz, and the one of the main value ads they get is a personalized podcast playlist. So it’s like, especially honestly, you can do it with if you have 50 episodes, if you have 500 episodes, especially if you have those 500 episodes, right? Holly has like 600 episodes. And so somebody new going in there might be overwhelmed. But if we can get them into her world and say this this podcast start with these 10 episodes right now.

It’s a curated experience for them of pure value. And so they get that on top of results, on top of like a video, juicy stuff. And then it moves them into a nurture sequence that eventually, if you want, can lead to an offer. And the cool thing about this is because we take a little bit more time to put our quiz together, and I do that intentionally because I want you to be able to run this for like a couple years.

And I wanted to bring leads in, cold leads, and all the things. and it has a great CPL for ads if you end up running out to it. But we get so much data from this quiz. We put together these customer buckets that lead to specific offers to meet, because there’s we all have an ideal customer, but there’s nuances, you know. For instance, one of my clients, she works with fictional writers, but she has some that are like,

I have a seed of an idea for a book, but I have nowhere to start. Then she has somebody who’s like, I’ve written a book, but I don’t know how to self-publish. And then she says somebody’s who’s ready to self-publish, and it’s like slight nuances, but they all want to get their book published. So the quiz can give us data on 50% of my client is bucket one, 25 is two, and 25 is three, or 2% is bucket three. Why am I even creating content for them right now? Like

Kylee Chandler (13:29.644)

Maybe that’s just like a one off offer I have. So it gives us data and information on our our offers, the languages we the language we can be using in marketing, content for social media, for blogs, podcasts. Like people will be will put a quiz together and be like, my gosh, I have all these ideas because these this data is showing me it. Yeah. So and then one client has I actually I just interviewed her earlier today. She has

So many she does meditations and so she’s got like 700 episodes. So she brings people through the quiz. She actually doesn’t sell anything, she just wants to nurture them. She gives them a podcast playlist, and then a month later they get a handful of podcasts that are specific to whatever their result was. So maybe like morning meditator. And she can now grab that tag in her email service provider and then always email them when she has.

a morning meditation episode. So yeah there’s a lot of cool things to do.

Meg Yelaney (14:31.758)

I love that. Question technically with that. I’m curious. With the but with the quiz or with the you said something about like they get the playlist, which I love, and then they also get the nurture sequence. Is that happening at the same time? Like are they getting the nurture sequence while they’re getting the the special playlist?

Kylee Chandler (14:48.76)

So the essentially they go through the quiz, they land on a results page that has like a bunch of different different information and it has the playlist there. And then in the nurture sequence, what I recommend doing is putting together a PDF that they can download. Mm-hmm. And then there’s also a link to like the Spotify playlist because we can make playlists on Spotify. So that way, because it’ll get lost in the email otherwise. So but if they download a PDF, they can click on, you know, whether it’s Apple or Spotify or YouTube.

They can click on those specific episodes. I love that.

Meg Yelaney (15:21.674)

Smart. amazing. In the nurture series and sequence, I’m curious, do you have them ever reference a specific episode or is it like one that any of the results can use?

Kylee Chandler (15:36.052)

I think I’m confused about the question.

Meg Yelaney (15:38.894)

I probably did not phrase that correctly. As I said it, I’m like, that doesn’t make sense. basically is the in the nurture sequence, is it like, could you reference, hey, if you didn’t get to listen yet, make sure you go listen to this episode. It’s gonna be great for that specific result though, right? It’s not the same nurture sequence for all of the results.

Kylee Chandler (15:58.408)

Together individual nurture sequence and you do reference back to the playlist a few times. Just be like, okay, go check it out. And then I have them move into like a value add email that’s just like, say you have other resources that could be supportive for this result. And then we can go into selling. And I love that. One thing I’ll say is man, these work so great. They’re so fun. One of my clients launched her quiz in April, launched her course in September.

Had a 77% revenue increase with 68% of her buyers coming in through the quiz funnel. Yeah. And then she just hit the one year mark from putting the quiz together and releasing it. She had t 10,000 people take it. 8,500 of them are on her email list from that in one year.

Meg Yelaney (16:33.078)

Meg Yelaney (16:45.782)

That’s amazing. That’s like I’m so glad you shared that because I think that’s a huge question or not question, but just people are so impatient. And it’s like April to September, not that long. To me, I’m like, my gosh, September’s gonna be here before you know it. And like if you could have that big of a return and then a year later, like that’s I I’m so glad you said those numbers because people need to look long term. Cause some of this stuff we want, we just want so much instant gratification. And it’s like

I was just talking about this with clients. It’s the TikTokification of the world right now. We want it quick. We want it snappy. Everything’s gotta be quick. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And it’s like that, this kind of stuff takes time to build. You’re not gonna see the return on your investment that month or the month after or the month after. It’s going to be a slow burn and it’s gonna be so worth it. And if we can’t see that bigger vision, that’s when we just go, well, I’m just gonna keep doing Instagram content. Nothing wrong with Instagram content.

And you’re just gonna stay stuck in the same place if you only do that and like finally start the podcast, finally start the long form. Like I just I love that you share that. That’s that’s great and so good to know. Amazing. Another thing I know we wanted to talk about was something else kind of unique you do, podcast bundles to use with many chat on social media. So tell me a little bit about what a bundle is or podcast bundle, I should say.

Kylee Chandler (18:08.426)

Yeah, so this I always kind of consider like this as a bit of a lighter lift than putting together the quiz. but essentially when we sit down, if you work with Megan and you find your client, you find your distinctive edge and it helps you identify the pain points or the aspirations of your your customer, your ideal, you know, listener, customer. I use them interchangeably because if you have a business and a podcast, your listeners should be customers eventually.

Meg Yelaney (18:35.49)

Totally.

Kylee Chandler (18:38.508)

But what we can do is we can sit down and say to ourselves, okay, I have all these podcast episodes. Again, 50. Even if you have 50, we don’t even 20, you could do this with 20 episodes. And you sit down and you say, okay, what are some things that I could bundle together from my episodes that already exist that, you know, could really again kind of create a personal experience for my person. And so it’s a lot quicker than the quiz, but you can like

For instance, you know, let’s say one of my clients is a health coach and she focuses on like nervous system regulation. Well, she might not talk about that in every single episode, but maybe she has 10, five episodes that she could bundle together and then use that to create Instagram content. She could create a reel that’s kind of hinting at this and then say, you know, I actually have a resource if you’re looking for, you know, nervous system regulation, comment.

regulation and I’ll send it to you. And then that can trigger your mini chat and it can so it gets them off of Instagram. It gets them onto your email list because we’ve set this up in a funnel, a very short funnel, and then it sends them the episodes. So now we have their email and we have we’ve driven them to the podcast. And so when I say making the podcast the cornerstone of your marketing, like this is what I’m talking about. It’s like don’t create another PDF. Do something like this. Yeah.

And the other thing I’ll I’ll say, I was just I was just on a panel at a podcast conference and we were talking about Instagram. And I see I like to use Instagram to get into DMs with my ideal listener and my ideal customer. And that’s my favorite way. I’m not great at like posting reels or stories, but having these like conversations. I mean, we even met, kind of met through Holly when I reached out on Instagram. And so at the conference, we were talking about having these.

DMs on Instagram and how we can turn those people into customers and or you know, come and have a consultation with me. And I said, one thing you can do is if you put together a bundle with testimonials or student like case studies or anything like that, say we’ve had a conversation with someone. Hold on. Excuse me.

Meg Yelaney (20:55.938)

you’re so good.

Kylee Chandler (20:58.046)

and and then we’re at the point where maybe it’s like, you know what, we’re gonna have a consultation in a week or something like that. In the meantime, send them your bundle with the testimonials or the case studies. And then when they get on the call, it’s already like a done deal because I love that you’ve already given them the proof of what’s possible from people who are like them. And so it kind of like leverages your podcast and sells for you. So my gosh, I

Meg Yelaney (21:26.178)

Wait, I’m literally gonna do that this week. Do it. I’m in the middle of a a three-day event and I’m opening up spots for my program with like a bonus for them. I’m not doing a public launch like just to them. And I’m like, wait, I’m so gonna do that. I’m gonna put it together a playlist of all the interviews I’ve done so far with my my clients and the results. Like, thank you. Genius.

Kylee Chandler (21:48.462)

That’s genius.

Meg Yelaney (21:50.144)

I love it. I love it. And it’s kind of like you and I were talking about private podcasts on on your inter on my interview on your podcast. It reminds me a little bit of that. It’s just like there’s a specific intention. It’s just becoming your actual lead magnet, which for anyone who has a podcast right now, and I know a lot of my clients are like gonna DM me after this and be like, I listened to the episode of Kylee. What are we doing next? it’s just such a nice way to be like, I already put energy into this. Let’s use it. Like this can become the actual.

lead magnet. This can become the top of funnel. I love, love, love that. It’s so great. my gosh, amazing. and then the other thing we wanted to quickly touch on is utilizing your audience to drive traffic to your podcast. I’m this is a very selfish episode. I’m like, I wanted to learn about all this stuff. So like tell me everything. Yeah, give us some, some like ideas and on how you do that.

Kylee Chandler (22:42.89)

yeah. So I think, okay, so here’s why on my podcast we talked about your private podcast series. And I’m always wanting to talk to people about it because it’s not something I do. but I’m always thinking about how can we grow the podcast? How can we get our numbers up? So that’s why I’m like, I love a private podcast, but how can we drive to our public podcast? Yeah. There’s a place for everything, right? For sure. One thing I want to say is just because you have 2,000 people on your email list.

5,000 people, 500, or you know, say we have 300 students who have gone through any program, a low-ticket, high ticket, whatever. Let’s not assume that they are regularly listening to your podcast. We do so easily. We’re always like, we want more, more, more, we want more listeners and this and that. But low-hanging fruit, you have people in your audience who

Just forgot or just got busy and and or got into your your audience some other way. Didn’t even realize you have a podcast. Like yeah, these things happen every day. And so be sure that you’re leveraged leveraging your existing audience. So that means having a newsletter. And I I don’t love having just a newsletter purely about an episode, but maybe infusing your podcast into the newsletter. within your programs, like have it as added content, right? So it’s like

You have your content at the bottom. It’s like for additional resources, check out this episode. When you’re on a live call coaching, say, I’ll brief it here, but I actually did a deep dive on this. It’s episode episode, you know, 175. so there’s those things. And then anytime we create a quiz or a a podcast bundle or anything like that, yes, you want to promote these to your existing audience and your existing subscribers because again, they might have just gotten lost in the shuffle and then

You can curate their experience and get them back on the bandwagon of listening and all the things. So

Meg Yelaney (24:41.036)

that and that’s like such a good reminder that’s one of the if I’m on a podcast almost always I know on yours I was putting my private one I will say you’re listening to a podcast head on over to mine right now and just go subscribe you know and it’s just so easy

And then you’ll start popping up for them. So I think that’s so great. And I love the idea of utilizing it in like your nurture sequence and all of that because it’s like, hey, instead of rewriting this whole email, I can literally link them quickly to this podcast episode where they’re gonna get everything they need. It’s already done. Like I love that. Such a good reminder for people too. And I just, it’s funny, I had a

Client call, a group call this morning, and I actually did link. I did that in the chat. I linked an episode for an interview that I did. And I was like, everything’s here that you need. And I was like, wow, that was so easy. ‘Cause like I don’t have to repeat it. It’s right here. It’s said better this time, this way, I promise, you know, than in the moment. So I love, love, love that. my gosh. I feel like yeah, sorry.

Kylee Chandler (25:38.188)

Well, and I was gonna say, if you put together a quiz or a bundle, if you go on to somebody else’s podcast, at the very end you can say, like, like I’ll I’m gonna share my quiz at the end of this. And so that’s a great way versus just go listen to my podcast. It’s like head to Kylee or podcastmarketing hub.com forward slash quiz and you’ll get a curated playlist with exactly where you are, exactly where you should focus, versus and there’s nothing wrong with sending them just to your podcast.

But what I do, if you do that, I always like to say pick one or two episodes that you know are so good and send them to that episode so they don’t land on one that you’re like, that wasn’t a great episode. But I released it anyway. We all have those, so it’s fine. But and then they’re like

Meg Yelaney (26:20.876)

Recently, I was I didn’t know release that. no. my gosh, that’s such a good tip. Man, I wish I interviewed you a while ago because I could have used that. That’s okay. I’ll continue doing it. That’s so smart. It’s again like specificity, and especially if it relates to what you just talked about and if it’s like an extension of it. genius. I mean, this is your bread and butter. So I’m not surprised, but like so good. I love, love, love that.

my gosh, I just wanna pick your brain all day. This is like so helpful.

I know. I was like, wait, this is so helpful. A question that I know everyone is thinking that I I know the answer to this because I’ve done stuff like this, but even myself, I’m like, I would love to know the realisticness of this. You said your client released her podcast in April of last year, or sorry, her quiz. And then by September, it was bringing in all these incredible sales. How long realistically does it take to set something up like that? Just because I think we

We put I’m like literally putting this on my list of things to do in quarter three, for sure. And I also want to reverse engineer and be smart about my time. So like a realistic timeline of setting this kind of stuff up, like the quiz specifically.

Kylee Chandler (27:35.776)

Yeah. so okay, so I’m about to well, my baby’s coming in July and or yeah, babies do seven seven. And so what I will say is on the other side of that, the first thing I’m gonna do is do like a podcast podcast centric quiz blitz where we’re gonna like take six weeks together and we’re gonna create it and it’s gonna be kind of like an intensive. but I’m finding new ways to use AI to simplify.

in the areas that make sense, not all of it. Please don’t go and use AI to create a quiz. Like it’s not gonna convert. And then you’ll come back and be like, well it didn’t work. Yeah. Don’t do that. but what I will say is like Holly and I just blitzed through it and I bet it took us like I would say six weeks to two months if you’re really like head down focused. And if you come and work with me, you’ll know exactly the steps to be taking. so stay tuned for that on the other side of baby. but

Meg Yelaney (28:11.35)

Yeah.

Kylee Chandler (28:31.79)

Yeah, that’s a great question.

Meg Yelaney (28:33.76)

Six to okay, that’s really nice just to hear that timeline, like six weeks to two months. I think it’s just nice for people to get that realistic, like it sounds so nice. Like set up your quiz and and do all this stuff. And but how what’s the work involved? And there is work. And then look at the return though. Like that’s the thing. This is the thing I love that you said at the beginning of that was this is a lead magnet that my people will use for years. Like years. I did a quiz a long time ago. I did use it for years. I didn’t have a podcast on the end of it.

Kylee Chandler (28:56.044)

Years.

Meg Yelaney (29:02.252)

Really wish I had that. But like this is amazing. And I’ve been wanting to do another quiz. So definitely let me know when that sprint comes because or blitz. I think you said blitz. I I went in on that. I was like, wait.

Kylee Chandler (29:11.384)

Yeah.

Kylee Chandler (29:14.822)

And here’s what I’ll say is like that is coming from somebody who is that’s coming from somebody who like gives space and time for the busyness of the other p y if you only focus on this you could do it in a week. You certainly certainly could. But I work with female entrepreneurs who carry a lot of plates. And so that is the realistic thing. So

Meg Yelaney (29:35.732)

Appreciate exactly. If we only dedicated ourselves to that shore, we can knock it on a week, but we have family and we have other clients and like can’t do it, right? It’s gotta be, it’s gotta be in the mix of all the other things. But that’s what I love is like it doesn’t have to be all in or all out. You can work on these separate projects, you know, and and and this one especially. Like I always try to tell my clients, focus on you know, lead gen marketing sales. Like, what’s your lead gen focus right now? What’s your marketing? What’s your sales? This is such a great example of a real

lead gen slash marketing, right? But lead gen effort that’s going to pay you so well. Especially you need if you’re gonna go on all these podcast tours, let’s say, you need somewhere to send people that’s gonna actually make those tours fruitful. And I think that’s something I used to not do very well. And I had a lot of clients as well struggle with this is they’re like, I’m on all these podcast tours or I’m on I’m on this podcast tours like actually leading to anything, you know? And it’s because they didn’t have a solid lead magnet that like

really showed their expertise and their edge. So this is like so in line with

Kylee Chandler (30:36.162)

Love that. I know. I’m just like my brain’s already working, like how we can collaborate on things to really more audiences. So my gosh.

Meg Yelaney (30:42.776)

This is amazing. Well, s w tell us about your quiz. Now I’m like also inception-y so people can go see what you just talked about. But yeah, also it’s gonna be so valuable. So yeah, tell us a little bit about your quiz and where we can go get it.

Kylee Chandler (30:54.002)

Sure. Yeah. So it’s podcastmarketing hub.com forward slash quiz. And it is essentially identifying what’s blocking your podcast growth. And so you’ll get different results that kind of support you in like filling the gaps and finding, you know, like clearing out clearing out what’s not working and in with the new. And it’s yeah, it’s you’re gonna I I love it. I hope you love it. but yeah, podcast marketing forward slash quiz. Amazing. You’ll get a follow.

Meg Yelaney (31:23.116)

pop that in the show notes of course and I’m gonna go take it right now because I’m very curious what my what my result is. I want to know. thank you so much Kylee especially for fitting this in before you have your baby on 7-7 or before or after we’ll see I’m so grateful and just thank you really helping people like I hope people take away from this like you need long form and you need to like really take it as seriously as you plan your Instagram content like

Kylee Chandler (31:39.766)

Thank you for sh

Meg Yelaney (31:52.898)

This is your next step. And I’m sharing that. Hope my clients are listening because it’s so important. And and as the pro, you know, I think you you’ve you’ve seen that, you know, tenfold, which is so beautiful. You only use Instagram for connections, which is not that you never post, but like that’s your main way. That’s tell that’s very telling. And a lot of my people would love that. They would love to not have to post on Instagram all the time. So love that you share that. Thank you so much, Kylee. I will put

all of your deets in show notes as well. Appreciate you so much. And we’ll see you guys in the next one.

Kylee Chandler (32:26.792)

thank you so much, Megan.
